The story

BTS debuted in 2013 under a small Seoul label and became the first act singing primarily in Korean to top the Billboard 200 — and later to earn Grammy nominations. Their records deal explicitly with youth mental health, school pressure and identity, which is unusual in idol pop, and members RM, Suga and J-Hope write and produce much of the material. The group addressed the United Nations General Assembly three times before pausing for South Korean military service.
