Phil Collins

Phil Collins is the drummer and, from 1975, the lead vocalist of Genesis, as well as a massively successful solo artist. After Peter Gabriel's departure, Collins stepped up to become one of the most commercially successful musicians of the 1980s. His distinctive gated reverb drum sound (on Peter Gabriel's "Intruder") defined the decade's sonic landscape. Solo hits include "In the Air Tonight," "Sussudio," and "Against All Odds."
